The variety is a seedling obtained through open pollination of the «Tuono» variety. It belongs to the late-flowering plant group, with flowering typically occurring from mid to late March, which helps reduce the risk of flower damage by spring frosts.
The variety is self-compatible, as the maturation times of the pollen and the receptivity of the stigma coincide, ensuring fruit set upon pollination with its own pollen. The nuts are characterized by a soft shell.
During studies of production indicators, a specific tocopherol content in the nut oil was noted, which is assessed as relatively low compared to a number of other Spanish varieties.
