The variety is characterized by early flowering and medium vigor. The tree has an open or upright crown with dense foliage. The variety is self-incompatible with the S8S21 genotype and requires cross-pollination for fruiting.

The nut has a hard shell. The kernel is characterized by medium size, elongated shape, pointed tip, and light brown color with slight wrinkling. The probability of double kernels is low and accounts for 0–4%.

The variety is part of the regional genetic heritage of the Algarve and is used in local agriculture, as well as being preserved in genetic resource collections.
