The variety belongs to local forms (landraces) of Portuguese origin. The tree is characterized by high vigor and belongs to the early flowering group. It is a self-incompatible variety with an S-allele genotype of S8S22.
The kernel of the variety has an elongated shape, small size, smooth surface, and light color. The kernel turnout during processing is about 38%, the shell is hard. The number of double kernels is extremely low or absent. Due to the integrity of the kernel surface, the variety is valued for its suitability for glazing.
