The Shasta (Buralmondtwo) variety was obtained by crossing the Tuono and B1.005 varieties. The tree has high vigor with a crown ranging from upright to spreading. Fruiting occurs both on spurs and one-year-old shoots, while the variety has a medium-low chilling requirement.
The fruits are large and oval-shaped with a paper shell that tightly encloses the kernel. The kernels are characterized by a light color, smooth surface, and an average weight of about 1.5 g, with the double kernel percentage being less than 1%.
