The tree is medium-sized, reaching a height of 4–10 meters and has a semi-erect or semi-open crown type. The variety shows a tendency towards alternate bearing, and its root system is adapted to arid conditions. The chilling requirement for this variety is about 500 hours.
The early-mid flowering period makes the plant sensitive to spring frosts. The variety is self-incompatible and requires the presence of pollinators such as Sonora, Nonpareil, Cid, Garrigues, or Desmayo Rojo. Adult trees are susceptible to fungal diseases, in particular Monilinia and scab.
Harvesting is carried out in August-September. Fruit ripening often occurs unevenly, which may require a two-stage harvest. The fruits have a characteristic rounded, slightly flattened shape, and the kernels have a sweet taste and a specific aroma.
