The tree is of medium size with a spreading canopy, reaching a height of 4 to 9 meters. The variety is late-blooming, which allows the flowers to be less frequently damaged by spring frosts, while fruit ripening occurs toward the end of the season. The plant is characterized as hardy and high-yielding.

The fruits have a hard shell and medium-sized kernels with a dense texture and sweet taste. The skin of the kernels is dark in color, and due to the complexity of the blanching process, the product is more often used in roasted form or in confectionery production. The variety is self-incompatible and requires the presence of pollinators blooming during the same period.
