The tree of this variety is distinguished by high vigor and an upright crown shape. The fruits are elliptical in shape, have a sweet taste, light brown wrinkled skin, and moderate pubescence. The variety matures in the first to second ten-day period of September.

Important economic traits of the variety include self-fertility and a low tendency to form double seeds. The plant is an autochthonous cultivated species, historically developed in the Apulia region.
