The tree is vigorous, productive, with a spreading crown and a height of up to 7.5 meters. The variety belongs to the early-flowering group, which makes it susceptible to damage by spring frosts. The harvest ripens in mid-September.
Nuts are medium to large in size, flat, with a paper-type shell. The kernel yield percentage is 45–48%. A characteristic feature is a tendency to produce 15–30% double kernels.
The variety has good heat and drought tolerance, but is susceptible to fungal diseases and prone to fruit drop. It is self-incompatible, requires cross-pollination, and is often used in commercial orchards as a pollinator for the Nonpareil variety.
