The YALTANO tree has medium vigor and a characteristic weeping canopy shape. The variety is self-incompatible and requires the presence of pollinator varieties. Fruits set on both one-year-old shoots and spurs; the tree has low chilling hour requirements.
Fruits are medium-sized with a soft shell. The kernel is elongated and wrinkled, weighing about 1.1 g, with a tendency to form double kernels. The variety is suitable for commercial cultivation, including the use of mechanized harvesting.
