The Vio variety is included in the Catalog of Varieties and Hybrids of Romania. Studies of the biological characteristics and yield indicators of this form were conducted in fruit orchards in the northwestern part of the country, specifically in Berechiu.
The plant possesses characteristics typical of European almond breeding lines. During multi-year trials, the variety showed significant results in yield, which allowed it to be classified as an elite form.
