CALABACERO SOTO, also known as Calabacero, is a traditional local peach variety formed through folk selection and adaptation to the conditions of Spain. It is classified as a landrace and is not a product of modern breeding programs.
The fruits of this variety are characterized by yellow non-melting flesh, which makes them suitable for culinary processing. In agronomic publications, the variety is mentioned as early-maturing compared to a number of other local varieties.
