The variety is a nectarine, not a classic fuzzy peach. It was bred in the mid-1980s and is part of the Caldesi series, which also includes the Caldesi 2000 and Caldesi 2010 varieties. In professional literature, the variety is known by the synonym September Queen.

The fruits are characterized by white flesh and a late ripening period. The variety is intended for industrial and amateur horticulture, supplying the market with produce at later dates compared to other representatives of the Caldesi series.
