CALANDA SAN MIGUEL is a peach variety closely associated with the cultivation tradition in the Bajo Aragón region. The fruits are characterized by a round shape, yellow or cream skin without a distinct blush, firm yellow flesh with high taste qualities, and resistance to browning.
The variety is late-maturing, with harvesting taking place from mid-September to the end of October. The cultivation technology includes «embolsado» — placing fruits into individual paper bags on the tree, which protects them from pests and weather conditions. The variety has high chilling requirements.
