The fruits are round in shape with yellow skin, sometimes featuring reddish stripes. The flesh is yellow, firm, sweet, and aromatic. Harvesting occurs late, from September to November.
A distinctive technological feature is the "bagging" cultivation method: fruits are manually placed into paper bags for protection against the Mediterranean fruit fly and climatic factors. This allows for reduced pesticide use and improved transportability of the harvest.
The plant is trained using "open vase" or "transversal Y" systems for optimal light access. The produce is used primarily for fresh consumption, as well as for making desserts, ice cream, liqueurs, and syrup preserves.
