The plant is a hybrid of almond and peach used exclusively as a rootstock. The tree is characterized by vigorous growth, an upright or vase-shaped crown, green shoots with a reddish tint, and large, thin leaves.
The rootstock possesses immunity to the root-knot nematodes Meloidogyne incognita and Meloidogyne javanica, as well as moderate resistance to Phytophthora. At the same time, it is sensitive to Agrobacterium tumefaciens and Verticillium wilt, is incompatible with apricot, and has poor tolerance to waterlogging and calcareous soils.
The plant exhibits tolerance to drought conditions and soil salinity. It is propagated vegetatively via hardwood and softwood cuttings, as well as by the in vitro micropropagation method.
