The rootstock is a hybrid of almond and peach exhibiting high vigor. It is well compatible with almond and peach, also suitable for some plum and cherry plum varieties, but is incompatible with apricot.
The plant is characterized by high anchorage and drought tolerance, performing well in alkaline, saline, and calcareous soils. However, the rootstock is extremely sensitive to waterlogging and susceptible to bacterial canker, crown gall, and a range of fungal root system diseases.
The variety possesses resistance to certain species of root-knot nematodes. One of its external features is a tendency to develop red coloration in young leaves, shoots, and flowers during the spring period.
