The Honey Dew Hale variety is a mutant or clone of the J.H. Hale variety. The fruits are characterized by white skin with a pink blush and freestone-type white flesh, where the pit separates easily from the fruit.
The variety belongs to the late-ripening group, maturing 6 days after the Elberta variety. The fruits are large in size. Cold hardiness of flower buds is rated as medium or good.
Dormancy requirements are approximately 850 chill hours. The variety is intended for commercial use and sale in local markets.
