The variety belongs to the late-maturing category, with fruit ripening occurring in the second half of August. The plant has medium to above-average vigor, with noted rather sparse fruit set. The variety is a local traditional gene pool, historically developed in Italy.

Fruits are medium-sized, have a round shape, yellow or yellow-orange skin, and intensely yellow firm flesh. The stone is tightly attached to the flesh, which is characteristic of the percoca type. The taste is sweet, sometimes with a slight acidity.

Due to their firm structure, the fruits are ideal for preparing syrups, jams, canned fruits, and for use in cooking. Scientific data indicate a reduced susceptibility of the variety to the Mediterranean fruit fly due to the composition of volatile organic compounds in the fruits.
