The tree forms a small, compact crown. Young shoots are dark red in color; leaves are equipped with round glands. Flowers are rose-shaped, small, and have a pinkish tint.
The fruits have a round, sometimes asymmetrical shape with a shallow suture and pronounced sharp-pubescent fuzz. Skin color is yellow-orange with a dark red or purple-brown blush. Flesh is of a rich yellow-orange color; the stone is small, deeply furrowed, and separates with difficulty.
