The variety is also known under the names Kernechter vom Vorgebirge and Roter Ellerstädter. A feature of the plant is that it is a "kernechter", meaning it retains its varietal properties when propagated by pits. The tree has medium vigor, forming a spreading or upright crown 3–4 meters in height.
Fruits are medium-sized, pubescent, with a yellow-green ground color and a red blush. The white juicy flesh possesses a sweet aroma with a hint of acidity; the pit separates well. The variety is self-fertile, provides regular yields, and is suitable for fresh consumption and various types of processing.
The plant possesses high frost resistance and, in a sheltered location, withstands temperatures from -20 to -25 °C. The variety is characterized by high resistance to diseases, in particular leaf curl, as well as relative tolerance to powdery mildew and moniliosis.
