The object is a breeding form of Prunus avium, obtained in Germany from seeds imported in 1943. In official documents and catalogs, the object is more often referred to by the short name Alkavo.
The plant is used exclusively as a rootstock in horticulture when growing sour cherry and sweet cherry. It is characterized by vigorous growth of the trees on which grafting is performed, which leads to the formation of large crowns.
