The rootstock was obtained as a result of crossing in 1970 and was selected in 1985. It represents the most vigorous option from the GiSelA rootstock series, providing a tree size reduction of 20–30% compared to the F12/1 rootstock.
The plant is characterized by good compatibility with various varieties, tolerance to PDV and PNRSV viruses, as well as adaptability to reclaimed soils. The rootstock is less demanding regarding climatic conditions and soil than other members of the GiSelA series and reduces the risk of crop overloading.
