The rootstock is vigorous and is characterized by good adaptability to various soil types, including heavy ones, with the ability to withstand their waterlogging. The plant is easily propagated vegetatively using green and hardwood cuttings.
It possesses resistance to root-knot nematodes, Phytophthora, and crown gall, but is sensitive to bacterial canker. The rootstock is well compatible with most plum varieties, however, it may show incompatibility with some peach, nectarine, and almond varieties.
