Julijanka A is a vegetatively propagated rootstock belonging to the St. Julien group. It is breeding material intended for use in nursery production as a base for grafting commercial plum varieties.
The rootstock is characterized by medium vigor and high winter hardiness. It shows good compatibility with most commercial plum varieties and is suitable for cultivation on fertile and heavy soils, although it shows sensitivity to high calcium content.
Biological characteristics of the rootstock include a tendency to form root suckers. The primary purpose of the plant is to increase productivity and improve the adaptability of fruit trees to various soil conditions.
