Trees on GF-655/2 rootstock are medium-sized or semi-dwarf. The rootstock ensures early entry of grafted varieties into fruiting and is distinguished by high yield. Propagated vegetatively using hardwood and softwood cuttings.

The plant tolerates heavy, wet, and calcareous soils well, and also possesses drought tolerance. Satisfactory resistance to Phytophthora and bacterial canker has been noted. Trees grafted on this rootstock may produce root suckers and require support in the first years.
