The rootstock belongs to the species Prunus insititia and is used for grafting European plum, peach, nectarine, and apricot. Trees on this rootstock are characterized by a semi-dwarf growth habit, reaching a height of 3–5 meters, and possess good resistance to windthrow, often not requiring permanent staking.
The plant demonstrates good compatibility with most stone fruit varieties and moderate resistance to Phytophthora root rot, bacterial canker, and crown gall. Winter hardiness is rated as medium, corresponding to USDA zones 6–7. The rootstock performs poorly in heavy and poorly drained soils.
