The rootstock is a hybrid of cherry plum and Japanese plum. The plant is characterized by very high vigor and does not produce root suckers.
It has good compatibility with a range of stone fruit crops. It is characterized by resistance to the fungus Armillaria mellea and nematodes of the genus Meloidogyne, but it is sensitive to chlorosis on heavy soils and may reduce tree productivity on fertile soils compared to peach rootstocks.
