The rootstock belongs to the second generation of the Weiroot selection, introduced in 1985. The growth vigor of trees on this rootstock is estimated at approximately 40–50% of the growth vigor of the standard F12/1 rootstock, although quite strong growth is possible under certain conditions.
A distinctive feature of the rootstock is its ability to produce root suckers. When used as a base for intensive sweet cherry orchards, cases of incompatibility with some varieties were recorded in individual studies several years after planting.
