The rootstock was bred in Weihenstephan for use as a low-growth rootstock for stone fruits. Trees grafted onto this rootstock reach approximately 50% of the growth vigor of control samples.
During the period of cultivation, trees on this rootstock require mandatory irrigation during dry periods. Due to insufficient root stability, trees require the installation of supports; a tendency to form root suckers is also observed.
