Fruits are medium-sized, egg-shaped. The skin is of an orange shade with a blush and characteristic russeting. The flesh is medium-firm, very juicy, with a delicate spicy or sweet-and-sour taste. The harvest is suitable for fresh consumption, drying, and processing.
The tree grows vigorously, forms a high-domed crown, reaching a height of 6 meters, and is noted for its longevity of up to 80–100 years. It enters fruiting after 5–8 years; yields are annual and average. The variety is relatively frost-hardy, develops well on deep loamy and moist soils, and does not tolerate drought or wind.
