The tree is medium-sized with a broadly pyramidal crown. Harvest maturity of the fruits occurs in the first half of October, consumer maturity in late December. The variety is demanding of soil fertility, moisture, and warmth; it tolerates a wet summer poorly, during which fruits can be affected by scab.

The fruits are large or very large, weighing from 100 to 800 grams, of oval-conical or barrel-shaped form. The skin is thick but tender, becoming greenish-yellow upon ripening. The flesh is white, melting, juicy, with a pleasant aroma. The variety requires a protected location due to the tendency of the fruits to drop before harvest.
