The tree is medium-sized with a broadly pyramidal weeping crown and small rounded leaves. A feature of its fruiting is the formation of flower buds on all shoots, which requires careful pruning. Fruits set in clusters of 3–7 pieces; thinning is required in case of crop overload.

The fruits are of a broad-obtusely conical, often bumpy shape, weighing 90–110 g, and up to 200 g on quince rootstock. The skin is thin, golden-yellow with russet spots. The flesh is orange-pinkish, buttery, very juicy and tender. The taste is sweet with muscat spice.

The variety is self-incompatible and needs pollinators. It is characterized by high winter hardiness down to -35°C, and good resistance to scab and pear psylla. It is compatible with quince rootstock, on which it begins to bear fruit in 4–5 years.
