Pear variety Jizera belongs to the autumn maturity group. According to genetic studies, its origin is linked to the crossing of Bosc and Doyenné du Comice varieties.
During agrotechnical studies, the good compatibility of the variety with quince rootstocks was confirmed. The variety was also studied within the framework of trials for resistance to fire blight caused by the pathogen Erwinia amylovora.
