Medium-sized fruits have a golden-yellow color with a noticeable blush on the sunny side. Taste qualities vary from sweet to moderately acidic; fruits are characterized by high aroma.

The variety has good resistance to frost, drought, and scab. It can be used as a pollinator for other pear varieties. Incompatibility with quince as a rootstock is noted, requiring the use of an interstock.
