CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The tree is vigorous, reaches a height of 6 meters, and forms a rounded crown. Fruits are small or below medium size, weighing from 60 to 100 g, rarely reaching 140 g. In shape, they are ovoid or pear-shaped, have a characteristic lemon-yellow color without a blush.
Fruit flesh is firm, greenish or yellowish-white, sweet-and-sour in taste, often with a pronounced lemon aftertaste or aroma, sometimes with astringency. The shelf life of the fruits is about 7 days; in some years, heavy pre-harvest drop is observed.
The variety possesses high winter hardiness and is rarely affected by scab or brown spot. Fruits ripen in late July — August and are classified as table fruit, however, they are also suitable for various types of processing: drying, pickling, and making jam.
