The fruits have a short round or pear-shaped form. The skin is colored in a characteristic bronze, the flesh is white, juicy and aromatic, but of a rather coarse consistency. The variety's purpose ranges from table to culinary use.
The tree is vigorous with a strong pyramidal crown and late flowering. The variety is late-bearing, characterized by irregular yields and susceptibility to scab. Currently, it is of importance primarily as a historical collection variety.
