The Perifigi variety, also known as Goriška figovka, is a traditional variety of Pyrus domestica from the Goriška Brda region. The fruits of this variety resemble a fig in appearance, which is reflected in their local name.
The trees of the variety are characterized by high vigor and disease resistance, which allows them to be cultivated without intensive chemical protection. In the past, the fruits were used for fresh consumption, as well as preserved for the winter by storage or drying.
