The variety is a triploid, which causes it to be ineffective as a pollinator and necessitates the selection of third-party pollinator varieties. The tree is vigorous with a spreading crown and often curved branches, valued for its longevity.

The fruits are large, elongated in shape, with smooth skin that changes color from green to yellow-green or yellow upon ripening. The flesh is white or pale yellow, dry, with a musky aroma. The harvest is collected in October–December, and the fruits are suitable for consumption from December to February.

It is characterized by a tendency for premature fruit drop before reaching full maturity. The fruits may have a sharp or astringent taste at harvest, so the variety is more often used in cooked or baked form or for making jams and tarts.
