The Vereinsdechant variety, also known as Vereinsdechantbirne, is an old pear variety. The name Vereinsdechant Delbard usually indicates a breeding or commercial clone of the classic Doyenné du Comice variety.

The tree can be both vigorous and dwarf depending on the rootstock. The variety is characterized as resistant to diseases and pests, but is self-sterile and requires the presence of pollinators such as Conference, Williams, or Clapp's Favorite.

The fruits ripen in October. The skin is green, sometimes with a reddish blush; the flesh is juicy, melting, and aromatic.
