Vendemmiale is a local pear variety included in national registers and agricultural biodiversity databases of Italy as a genetic resource. It is a traditional landrace variety, not a product of modern industrial breeding.
Fruits ripen in late August — early September. They are characterized by juiciness, a sweet taste, and aroma. In addition to fresh consumption, the variety is used in processing, including the production of distillates.
The shelf life of the fruits under normal conditions is about 3–4 weeks; in a refrigerator, the storage period can be extended to several months. It is recommended to consume the fruits a few days after harvest.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
