The trees of the variety are vigorous and quite productive, showing good compatibility with both seedling rootstocks and quince. The fruits are attractive in appearance, have good keeping quality, and are suitable for transportation.

Despite the high quality of the fruits, the variety has growth and tree resistance characteristics that have historically limited its widespread adoption on an industrial scale. The trees can be susceptible to the negative impact of frosts, which reduce yields in certain years.
