CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The fruits of the Zippolungo variety are small, weighing 40–60 g, and have a short-pyriform asymmetrical shape with the maximum diameter closer to the calyx. The thin, oily skin is yellow-green in color with a dark red blush on the sunny side, and a medium degree of russeting is present.
The name of the variety is due to its main feature — a long and thin straight pedicel. The calyx is shallow and narrow, with open sepals. The variety belongs to the category of heirloom fruits of the Apulia region.
