The tree is vigorous, hardy, and undemanding, and it enters fruit-bearing early. The variety is self-fertile and often acts as a pollinator for other pear varieties. The plant is characterized by high yield, however, in some cases, it may show sensitivity to winter cold.
The fruits are medium-sized, egg-shaped, conical, or round, ripening in mid-July. The smooth skin turns light green or yellowish-green upon ripening. The fruits often grow in clusters. The flesh is white or greenish-white, tender, buttery, juicy, sweet, with a hint of acidity and a spicy aroma. It is recommended to harvest before full ripening, as overripe fruits quickly lose their consistency.
The variety is for multipurpose use: suitable for fresh consumption, culinary purposes, making compotes, and the production of fruit distillates.
