Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety originates from Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. The tree is medium-sized, with a well-branched crown. Flowering occurs in April; the variety is self-incompatible and requires pollinators, such as other Asian pear varieties or European varieties with matching flowering times.

The medium-sized fruits have a golden-orange color and a sweet taste with a tropical aroma. The variety is early-maturing, with harvesting taking place from mid- to late August. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, processing into juice, and long-term storage until December.

The variety has good disease resistance, however, like other representatives of the species, it can be susceptible to fire blight.
