The variety is an interspecific hybrid of European pear (Pyrus communis) and Asian pear (Pyrus pyrifolia). The tree is of medium size, reaching a height of 4–8 meters in cultivation. The variety possesses high resistance to most diseases and good winter hardiness.
The fruits are round-shaped with golden-brown skin and have white, juicy, and crunchy flesh. The flavor combines the sweetness and aroma of European varieties with the texture of Asian ones. The harvest is ready in early autumn; the fruits are suitable for storage in a refrigerator for up to two months.
The variety belongs to pollination group №2 and is not self-fertile, therefore it requires a pollinator for fruit set. Productivity is characterized as moderate.
