Root vegetables are of medium size, round shape, and have thin roots. The flesh is characterized by a pleasant taste. The variety is valued for the uniformity of the produce and attractive marketable appearance, although cracking of the root vegetables is most often caused by irregular watering.

The plant is intended for cultivation in open field and greenhouses, including the use of covering materials. The variety prefers loose, humus-rich soils and regular watering; the optimal temperature for seed germination is 20–25 °C. Used for fresh consumption.

In European catalogs, the variety is often equated to the Saxa 2 variety type. In commercial sources, the designation Rapid Red 2 (sel. Sanova) is also encountered, which indicates the selection line.
