The variety belongs to the group of plants known by the trade name Vierbeere or Fourberry. Fruits ripen from mid-July to mid-August. The berries are large, sweet, without the characteristic aftertaste of black currant; upon full maturity, they become very soft and can wither on the bush.

The plant is self-fertile but also acts as an effective pollinator variety for other representatives of the species. The shrub is undemanding, possesses high winter hardiness and drought tolerance. It is used both for harvesting and for ornamental purposes due to its flowering and autumn foliage color.
