The bush is medium-sized, semi-spreading and dense, reaching a height of 0.7 to 1.2 m. The plant is characterized by high winter hardiness and the ability to recover after thaws, but it has insufficient drought tolerance. The variety is resistant to reversion and anthracnose, serving as a donor of resistance to the latter, but is susceptible to damage by the blackcurrant gall mite.

The berries are black, matte, round-oval in shape, with a weight of 0.9–1.2 g. The fruits have a sweet-and-sour taste and are characterized by dry detachment, which allows the variety to be used for mechanized harvesting and transport. The purpose of the fruit is universal. The variety is actively used in breeding as a donor of valuable traits.
