The variety has a medium-sized bush with shoots prone to lodging under the weight of the crop. Medium-sized berries ripen slowly. The variety name in translation from Dutch means "red bud," which is due to the intense color of the plant's winter buds.

Currently, the variety is considered unsuitable for commercial cultivation and processing due to low product quality indicators compared to modern forms. Today, it is of mainly historical or collection interest and is often used in scientific research as an object for comparative trials.
