The Turbo group varieties are intended for industrial use: timber production, biomass, the establishment of energy plantations, as well as for honey production and the reclamation of degraded lands. Breeding was focused on obtaining genotypes with an extremely high growth rate, exceeding the indicators of the ordinary species by 1.5–2 times.

The plants are characterized by a straight stem shape and high wood durability, which possesses natural resistance to fungal infections and insects. Varieties of this group are capable of growing effectively in low-quality soils and demonstrate high resistance to drought conditions.

Morphologically, the Turbo Obelisk group stands out for its narrow pyramidal crown. For industrial cultivation, rotation cycles for wood turnover have been established with a duration of 8 to 15 years.
